Where old means honorable

Every old man I met in Mali was surrounded by scores of people, especially children. In my country we put the elder aside, we hide them from ourselves in institutions - and we worship the young. Skin products are designed to make you look younger. The dream of our time is not reincarnation, neither heaven - it is youth.
